About the FPMA
The Fairport Perinton Merchants Association, Inc. (FPMA) is a non-profit civic organization of retail merchants, as well as service, home-based and non-profit businesses in the Town of Perinton and Village of Fairport.
The FPMA was formed in 1979 by a volunteer committee of local merchants for the purpose of promoting local commerce. There are many benefits of membership outlined in Member Benefit publication which is updated annually.
The FPMA sponsors several festivals and events throughout the year including Fairport Canal Days in June – one of the oldest and largest Arts festivals in the Northeastern US, Scarecrow Festival in September and Come Home for the Holidays in December. The FPMA purchases and decorates Village Hall, the Kennelly Park gazebo, Fairport Junction and Lift Bridge Lane West for Fall and the Holidays.
The FPMA contributes thousands of dollars annually to multiple community non-profit charities as well as underwriting a $1000 Dollar for Scholars scholarship for a deserving Fairport High School senior.
